Reconfiguração do estaleiro / Reconfiguring the shipyard.

Estava utilizando a sala como cômodo principal para construção dado o espaço proporcionar liberdade nas movimentações com o barco. Entretanto, na última atividade de fibrar o casco, foi utilizada quantidade grande de resina epoxy e sofri com os gases tóxicos liberados na cura. Ações urgentes foram tomadas para evitar sensibilização por epoxy que, como já disse anteriormente, é um estágio que não pode ser revertido. Uma vez sensibilizado, nunca mais se pode trabalhar com este tipo de resina. Vamos lá:

- Troquei a máscara descartável de pintura por um respirador com filtro para gases orgânicos;

- Acatando sugestões dos mais experientes (agradecimentos especiais à todo o pessoal da lista de discussão michalak do yahoogrupos) resolvi mudar o barco para a área externa da casa. Ainda que coberta e fechada, oferece melhor opção de ventilação com pé direito mais alto . Aos equipamentos obrigatórios adicionei um ventilador portátil que permanecerá ligado sempre nos processos de cura da resina e quando houver gente no estaleiro.

Agradecimentos especiais à D. Anice, minha mãe, que tirou as fotos das novas instalações na área externa quando visitou o estaleiro ontem.

I was using the room inside the house as the main room for construction given the space available to move the boat. However, in the last activity fiberglassing the hull was used large amount of epoxy resin and I suffered with the toxic gases released in the cure. Urgent actions were taken to prevent sensitization by epoxy, as I said earlier, it is a stage that can not be reversed. Once sensitized, one can never work with this type of resin again. Here we go:

- Traded the disposable mask painting by a respirator for organic gases;

- Accepted suggestions from more experienced (special thanks to the entire staff of michalak yahoogroup) decided to move the boat to the area outside the house. Although covered and closed, provides better ventilation option. To mandatory equipment added a portable fan that stays on forever in the cure process of the resin and when there are people in the shipyard.

Como dá para perceber pelas fotos, o espaço de trabalho ficou bastante reduzido.

Aviso aos que estavam torcendo pela derrubada da parede da sala (adoro esta “força” que os amigos dão pra gente...rsrsrs), que neste estágio a preocupação do barco não sair mais da casa já não existe. Os corredores até a porta de saída são todos amplos. Lamento desapontá-los. ;-)

Na mudança consegui movimentar o barco sozinho pela casa, com alguma dificuldade. Meu duck (caiaque inflável) pesa 21 kg e estimo que o barco esteja com uns 30 ~ 35 kg na configuração atual. Fica a preocupação com o peso final, já que ainda faltam muitas partes em madeira (borda, decks de proa e popa, reforços para os cunhos de popa e proa, e suporte de motor de popa) e camadas de resina, fibra e tinta. Pelo menos a antepara temporária sairá da configuração atual, contando a favor.

 Nos últimos dias a construção não evoluiu pois alguns probleminhas de saúde me impediram de prosseguir. Não vejo a hora de retomar.
