Para registro:

Ontem foram mais 2 horas trabalhando com resina e a vela. Nova tentativa para eliminar as ondulações superficiais no costado de boreste. Elas aconteceram pois a resina aplicada no fundo escorreu para a lateral durante a noite formando filetes.  Apliquei uma camada mais grossa de resina misturada com aerosil. É ruim para espalhar, mas talvez cubra os defeitos mais graves. Apliquei resina também nas divisórias interiores do cockpit com os paióis e na lateral interna de bombordo. Irá servir como selante. Fibrei o outro lado da porta do leme. Descobri que a canetinha usada para marcar a lonaleve da vela, ao invés de ser marca CD, que sai com álcool, era caneta de marcar transparências. Quase surtei quando li “permanent” na caneta. Recorri ao litro de acetona, usado para limpar resina não curada e ufa ! Alívio ! Tirou sem o menor esforço. Passei fita dupla face nas bordas onde a vela se formará e retirei a tinta com acetona. Cortarei a lona na próxima sessão. Hoje, sem fotos. Inté!

For the record:

Yesterday I spent 2 hours working with resin and sail. New try to get rid of superficial ripples on starboard side panel. Ripples resulted from misapplied excess resin on bilge panel. It ran down the sides during overnight (both) forming fillets. Applied another resin coat thickened with aerosil. Awful to spread  but maybe enough to cover rough defects. I also applied a thin coat of resin to seal frames in the cockpit area and internal port side as well. Fiberglassed right side of the rudder. To my terror and surprise I’ve found out the pen used to mark sail cutting lines was permanent instead of temporary CD marker which is easily removed with alcohol. Fortunately the acetone I had around to clean uncured resin worked and removed the permanent paint easily. Applied double face tape around the sail edges. Plan to cut in the next section.  No pics today. Inté !
