Merely
looking at the pile of wood (plywood and shingles) and know that
everything will turn a boat is already something exciting. My silly perhaps, but I was contemplating the scene for a few minutes:

E vão sendo riscados e cordados os compensados.
And then plywood is scratched and cut.
No total creio ter gasto umas 6 horas efetivas de trabalho até aqui: cortado o fundo, as peças da cabeça e da lâmina do leme, as anteparas definitivas, espelho de popa e proa. Os riscos que estão no compensado que está no chão são das laterais do barco. Ficou para a próxima sessão. Maravilhoso trabalhar com madeira. Escolhi madeiras pouco recomendadas para construção naval mas que são de reflorestamento (pelo menos foi o que me disseram). Virola no compensado e pinus ellioti nos caibros/ripas.
In total I think I have spent some six hours actual work so far: cut the bottom parts of the head and rudder blade, bulkheads, definitive transom and bow. The marks on plywood are the sides of the boat. It remained for the next session. Wonderful to work with wood. I chose some woods not recommended for shipbuilding but are reforestation (at least that's what they told me). Virola plywood and pinus elliotis in the rafters / battens.
